Delivery Information
Disclaimer
It is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure that their products will fit through doorways, hallways, stairs, or into specific areas of the home. Measure carefully—although our team are experts, you know your home better than us. If an item needs to be returned due to size constraints, the purchaser is responsible for the return shipping costs, and the item will be inspected for any damage caused during attempts to fit in a restricted space. The purchaser will be liable for any damages. Billing will be charged in 15-minute increments, rounded up to the nearest quarter hour.
Preparation & Fees
- Preauthorization: A preauthorization on a credit card is required prior to delivery for any service charged at an hourly rate. A minimum charge of 1 hour applies to all services, and 1.5 hours for any refrigerator installation. Charged in 15-minute increments.
- Home Preparation: The customer must ensure the home is clean and properly prepared for delivery. If the home is not prepared, or if there is no legal adult present for the scheduled delivery, a re-booking fee of $149.99 will apply, or our team will wait on site and charge your hourly rate.
- Safety Notice: Pets and children must be kept out of the delivery and work areas for safety reasons, including the path into your home.
- Team Size: In-home deliveries are typically handled by a two-person team, while curbside deliveries are managed by a single driver. If additional team members are required, extra fees will apply.
Installation & Scope of Work
All installations will be done according to the manufacturer’s specifications. Harris will not install or extend lines beyond the specifications provided by the manufacturer.
Harris only connects to existing services. Shut-off valves and the required electrical connections must be in place prior to our arrival.
Our delivery packages do not include carpentry, electrical, or plumbing work.
Verbal abuse will not be tolerated. Our delivery team reserves the right to leave the site if they experience verbal abuse.
Delivery fees are non-refundable once the delivery has been attempted or completed.
Delivery Services
Furniture Delivery
Rate: $125 / hr
- Our team will unpack and stage your furniture, but please note that assembly of furniture is not included. We will, however, attach feet or legs when applicable.
- Moving or relocating old furniture is not a service we provide.
Custom Delivery
Rate: $200 / hr
A custom delivery rate may apply to luxury brands and products or unique requests, including but not limited to GE Café, Jenn-Air, Sub-Zero, and Wolf appliances.
Curbside Delivery
Rate: $49.99 per trip
- Delivery of up to 3 major pieces of furniture or appliances to your curbside or garage.
- $20 per additional item.
- For apartments, delivery is to the lobby only.
- Delivery outside Fort McMurray may be available for an additional fee.
In-Home Appliance Delivery
Rate: $100 / hr
- Delivery of the appliances to your home.
- Unpacking and placement of appliances in the appropriate area.
- Removal of packing materials and garbage.
- Larger products are unpacked and inspected before being delivered.
- Entryway door removal (if necessary) to ensure safe delivery.
- Fridge door removal: For larger refrigerators, we will remove the door prior to arrival and reinstall it on site.
- Haul-away of your existing appliances can be requested for an additional fee.
- Installation of appliances is not included in this package.
Note: We do not price match deliveries from other retailers, as their delivery services differ from the experience we provide.
Appliance White Glove Service
Rate: $150 / hr
- Delivery of the appliances to your home.
- Full installation of appliances using new hoses, waterlines, and venting to connect to existing systems (where required).
- Removal of packing materials and garbage.
- Larger products are unpacked and inspected before being delivered.
- Entryway door removal (if necessary) to ensure safe delivery.
- Fridge door removal: For larger refrigerators, we will remove the door prior to arrival and reinstall it on site.
- Haul-away of your existing appliances at no cost. Limited to one appliance per purchased appliance.
Appliances we haul away may be sent to a local refurbisher instead of being disposed of; to opt out, please inform us.
